Afgooey originally hails from sunny California where it resulted from a cross of Afghani and a Maui Haze strain. Strainhunters have made Afgooey available for the first time as a feminised seed following successful development work to reverse it and then back-crossing it with itself to produce what is known as an S1 strain.
It bears the characteristics of an indica plant being a short, bushy, squat plant with broad, dark green leaves, short inter-nodal length and a thick, strong stem. Afgooey thrives in all kinds of growing media; indoors it does well with either SoG (Sea of Green) or SCROG (Screen of Green) set-ups. Indoor harvests can be as high as 900 gr/m2. Outdoor cultivation can be equally successful although it will be more productive in warmer climates such as Mediterranean types.
The bud structure of Afgooey is dense and pear-shaped, covered in thick resin with earthy and fruity aromas including notes of citrus and tropical fruits. With 16% - 20% THC and CBD levels varying between 1% - 5% it has a fast-hitting, heavy stone which can cause some confusion in those who have not experienced it before. This physical effect does have cerebral aspects too making it far from one dimensional. It is recommended for apathy and depression and will make cares float away.
